Funny Facts about Lloyd

He certainly is a little bit crazy. Lloyd Godson is not your typical scientist. The marine biologist and diver is bubbling over with a sense of adventure and he is constantly on the look out for new challenges. Naturally this means there are a number of funny stories to tell...

  • In ATLANTIS this will be the second time that Lloyd is spending Easter under water.
  • For his marathon training Lloyd runs between 80 and 110 kilometres per week.
  • A hairy, four-legged friend by the name of Biskotouli accompanies him on his training runs.
  • So far Lloyd has done approximately 1,500 dives.
  • Once the 14 days under water at LEGOLAND® ATLANTIS have been completed, Lloyd will have lived a total of 624 hours under water; 288 hours during the BioSUB project and 336 in ATLANTIS.
  • At university he was known as 'Crazy Lloyd' and did quite a few crazy stunts. For example, he jumped from a three story building through a flaming hup and into a swimming pool — wearing nothing but a hollowed out watermelon shell.
  • Once Lloyd stole a garden gnome from an elderly couple in New Zealand and took it with him on a two-week journey to Antarctica. Of course after his return he gave it back to the astonished couple.
  • At his wedding he was dressed up as a shark.
